Role:
The Banquet Server plays a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences during events and functions within the accommodation and food services industry. This position is responsible for setting up banquet rooms, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guests receive attentive and courteous service throughout the event. The Banquet Server collaborates closely with kitchen staff, event coordinators, and other service team members to maintain smooth operations and uphold high standards of hospitality. Attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to anticipate guest needs are essential to creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. Ultimately, the Banquet Server contributes significantly to the success of events by providing efficient, friendly, and seamless service that enhances guest satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications:
Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred but not required. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and carry trays or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds. Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude. Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in banquet or event service environments. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards. Certification in food handling or hospitality service. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Multilingual abilities to assist diverse guest populations.
Responsibilities:
Prepare banquet rooms by setting tables, arranging chairs, and ensuring all necessary service items are in place according to event specifications. Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously to guests during events, following proper serving protocols and safety standards. Assist in the setup and breakdown of banquet events, including cleaning and resetting rooms after service. Collaborate with kitchen and event staff to coordinate timing and delivery of menu items, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met. Respond to guest inquiries and requests professionally, addressing any concerns to ensure a positive experience.

The Banquet Server utilizes strong interpersonal and communication skills daily to interact effectively with guests and team members, ensuring clear and courteous exchanges. Attention to detail is critical when setting up banquet spaces and serving food and beverages to meet event standards and guest expectations. Physical stamina and coordination are essential for managing the demands of standing, walking, and carrying items throughout events. Problem-solving skills help the server address guest needs promptly and adapt to changing event dynamics. Additionally, knowledge of food safety and service protocols supports maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment.
