Host / Cashier

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Host / Cashier, where you will be the friendly face and efficient point of contact for our guests. In this lively role, you'll create a welcoming atmosphere by greeting guests with enthusiasm, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth seating arrangements. As a cashier, you'll handle transactions accurately using POS systems such as Toast POS, process payments efficiently, and provide exceptional guest service. Your energetic approach and excellent communication skills will help foster memorable experiences and keep operations running seamlessly. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage seating arrangements to optimize flow and guest satisfaction Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, providing information about menu items or reservations Operate Toast POS to process orders and payments accurately Handle cash, credit card transactions, and issue receipts while maintaining accountability for all financial exchanges Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host stand and cashier area Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure timely service and guest needs are met promptly Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and ensuring a positive dining experience Clear tables and set tables Bring guest water Assist servers as needed Qualifications Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Experience working with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette to engage effectively with guests and team members Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Hospitality or hotel experience is advantageous but not required Knowledge of guest services, serving protocols, and hospitality standards is desirable
