Hostess Cashier

Job Summary Wuyang Casa is a vibrant Asian-fusion restaurant that features grill-at-table Japanese BBQ, where guests can enjoy an interactive and communal cooking experience right at their seat. We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Cashier to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional hospitality and ensuring a smooth dining experience. You will manage reservations, greet guests, and handle cash transactions efficiently while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Responsibilities (including but not limited to) Greet and welcome guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanor. Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize guest flow. Provide information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to guests. Assist with the POS system for processing orders and payments accurately. Handle cash and credit card transactions with precision while maintaining a balanced cash drawer. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction. Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally to enhance their experience. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including menus and waiting areas. Collaborate with team members to provide exceptional guest services in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications (not all required but preferred)

PROFICIENCY IN MANDARIN CHINESE IS PREFERRED

Previous experience in food service or hospitality is required. Familiarity with POS (point-of-sale) systems is a plus. Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette when handling reservations or inquiries. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing guest interactions. A passion for providing outstanding guest services in a restaurant or hotel setting is essential. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
