Host/Hostess

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host/Hostess to join our team! In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience. Your enthusiasm, communication skills, and ability to manage guest flow will ensure smooth seating operations and foster guest satisfaction from the moment they arrive. Duties Greet guests with a friendly, positive attitude and provide a warm welcome upon arrival Handle phone calls and manage reservations & walk-in guest seating efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate estimated wait times clearly to guests Assist guests with seating arrangements, answer questions about the menu or restaurant amenities, and provide directions as needed Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and smooth service flow Uphold high standards of phone etiquette when taking reservations or answering inquiries Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of the host/server station areas, including menus and waiting areas Qualifications Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests Experience working with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Excellent guest relations skills, including attentive listening and problem-solving abilities Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of restaurant operations, food service procedures, and hotel guest services is advantageous Professional phone etiquette and courteous demeanor at all times

Pay:

$18.00 - $23.00 per hour
