Host/Hostess Vintner's Table Wyomissing 135 Bridge Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460 Part-time Part-time About the Job Are you someone that loves to work with people? Are you looking for a fun atmosphere with room for growth? Our Host/Hostess position provides friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all of our guests, by welcoming and warmly greeting guests on arrival. Manage the efficient and timely seating of our guests at a table that best serves their wishes.

Qualifications:

Friday and Saturday shifts are a must. Able to understand and speak using the predominant language(s) of guests. Exceptional grooming habits.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee opening and closing tasks. Act as interim Manager when Restaurant Manager is absent. Assist in training employees. Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of Folino Estate, LLC/Vintner's Table. Warmly and graciously greet all guests entering the tasting room, and seat them at tables or in waiting areas. Open the front door for guests entering or leaving the tasting room when possible. Provide guests with menus and inform them of their server's name upon seating. Record guest names and the number of people at the party and provide guests with an estimated waiting time when immediate seating is limited. Call out the name and number of party when tables become available. Speak with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service, respond to complaints, or make conversation. Answer telephone calls promptly and respond to inquiries or transfer calls. Maintain contact with kitchen staff, management, serving staff, and guests to ensure that dining details are handled properly and customers' concerns are addressed. Inspect dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup. Inform guests of establishment specialties and features. Receive and record guests' dining reservations. Inspect restrooms for cleanliness and availability of supplies and clean restrooms when necessary. Relay messages to servers and bussers as needed. Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return. Attend all scheduled employee meetings and offers suggestions for improvement. Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests' needs and support the operation of the restaurant. Fill-in for fellow employees where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.

Supplemental:

Assist in mentoring new host staff. Assist in reservations for parties or other special events and services.

Physical Requirements:

Able to work in a standing position for long periods. (up to 8 hours) Ability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays. Ability to work in a variety of conditions, such as heat, cold, noise, etc.

Vintner's Table is home to a Salumeria Bar, Gift Shop, and Tasting Bar where guests can enjoy light bites, shop unique Italian inspired items, and of course taste and purchase all wines from the Signature, Black Label, and Estate Grown collections.
