Position Overview We are seeking a meticulous and creative Hot Stamper / Personalization Specialist to join our team at Julien's and Mi Vida. As a key member of our personalization department, you will be responsible for performing hot stamping on leather patches for our Jon Hart items and other merchandise. Your role will ensure that each personalized item meets our high standards for quality and craftsmanship. We are also planning to expand into laser engraving and other personalization techniques, so experience in these areas or a willingness to learn is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities Hot Stamping and Personalization :

Perform precise hot stamping on leather patches for Jon Hart items and other products. Ensure all personalization aligns with customer specifications, including font style, size, and placement. Maintain consistency and quality across all personalized items.

Equipment Operation and Maintenance :

Set up and operate hot stamping equipment safely and efficiently. Select appropriate dies, foils, and settings for each job. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Quality Control :

Inspect finished products meticulously to ensure they meet company quality standards. Identify and correct any errors or imperfections promptly.

Process Improvement :

Collaborate with the team to develop and refine personalization processes. Stay updated on industry trends and suggest new techniques or equipment that could enhance our offerings. Assist in implementing laser engraving services, including learning to operate engraving equipment.

Inventory and Record-Keeping :

Manage inventory levels of stamping supplies, such as foils and dies. Maintain organized records of orders processed, including customer specifications and completion dates. Coordinate with the sales team to ensure timely fulfillment of personalized orders.

Customer Service :

Occasionally interact with customers to clarify personalization details. Provide professional and courteous service, reflecting the company's commitment to customer satisfaction.

Workplace Maintenance :

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace. Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols, especially when handling hot equipment.

Qualifications Required:

Exceptional attention to detail and precision in workmanship. Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Ability to read and interpret work orders and customer specifications. Proficient in basic computer operations. Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to tasks. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Preferred (But Not Required): High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in hot stamping, embossing, engraving, or a related field. Experience with laser engraving equipment or a willingness to learn. Creative mindset with an appreciation for aesthetics and design. Familiarity with design software or tools.

Work Schedule Full-time position:

Typically 35-40 hours per week. Flexibility to work occasional weekends or extended hours during peak seasons or special events. Availability to adapt to changing schedules as needed.
