You'll welcome guests, manage their information, distribute their keys and room assignments, and answer any general inquiries to ensure they have an excellent stay with us. Compensation:
$16.75 hourly to start
Responsibilities:
Communicate with housekeeping to make sure guest rooms are ready Greet, check-in, and check out guests when they arrive and leave the premises, distribute keys and room assignments, and record credit card information Mitigate customer complaints as needed General bookkeeping: ensure all hotel guest account information is accurate and up-to-date Answer incoming calls and questions about guests' needs in-person and online regarding room bookings, room rates, amenities, available rooms, rewards programs, and special requests Greet guests warmly and professionally during check-in and check-out Process reservations, modifications, and cancellations accurately Assist with laundry duties as needed, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens Handle guest payments, deposits, and incidental charges with accuracy and accountability Ensure all billing and folio details are correct and clearly explained to guests Respond to guest requests, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner Provide information about hotel services, amenities, and the local area Handle phone calls, emails, and internal communications efficiently Maintain accurate records in the property management system Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure rooms are ready and guest issues are addressed Follow all brand standards and front desk procedures consistently Adhere to IHG brand standards in all aspects of guest service, operations, and compliance
Qualifications:
Possesses strong customer service skills, interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and time management skills At least one year of hospitality industry experience as a hotel front desk agent or similar position preferred High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Has previous experience or working knowledge of Microsoft Office and reservation management systems Comfortable taking telephone calls and mitigating stressful situations Previous front desk, customer service, or hospitality experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills High attention to detail, especially with billing and data entry Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment Basic computer and property management system skills preferred Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work any shift, including mornings, evenings, overnight, weekends, and holidays, with no schedule restrictions Strong problem-solving skills and professional demeanor Why Join Us?
