PLEASE HAVE ALL COMMUNICATION THOUGH INDEED
This is an nifty opportunity to join the nice Trumbull & Porter Boutique Hotel team in the Corktown area of Downtown Detroit! We just had our busiest year by far and we want to add another fun personality that not only would enjoy the vibe, but also maintain our toxic-free and chill environment in a busier 2026. For the Room Attendant, the rooms are pre-stripped and linens delivered so you just have to focus on the cleaning - we deep clean every room every day to live up to our "Cleanest and Friendliest" promise so you will be not be rushed, but judged on the thoroughness of your cleaning and ability to quick-inspect your own rooms. With this, we try to only assign 10 rooms per day to ensure you have the time to make them all perfect. That is it, just grab your board and get into your zone! No going up and down the elevator for linens. Your rooms will be double inspected, but you do not have to stay to wait for this to be done.

Housekeeping Reports to: Operations Manager
THE JOB WE HAVE YOU DO
Thoroughly cleans all assigned rooms within Trumbull and Porter enhanced cleaning guidelines. Maintains the inventory of every item placed in guestrooms. Communicates status of cleaned rooms to Front Desk. Reports any lost and found items to the Housekeeping Supervisor immediately, listing the room number or area where the item was found. Reports any damaged or missing items to Maintenance and the Housekeeping Supervisor. Reports exceptional and/or unusual circumstances, such as no luggage in a stay-over room, sleep-outs, damage in the rooms, etc. to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Operations Manager. Safety Uses all authorized cleaning agents properly and safely. Follows proper key control procedures. Miscellaneous Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with Guests, clients, co-workers, and management. Follows proper handling procedures for dirty rags/linens. Restocks and maintain housekeeping cart. Assists Guests with questions and requests. Adheres to proper grooming and dress codes for the department. Able to carry out hotel emergency procedures. Performs all other duties as directed, developed, or assigned. Arrives for assigned shift on time. The team part is important. The job itself is simple enough and you can just put an earbud in and not be bothered, but we all lean on each other to make our day to day easier and more pleasant. We look to help each other and make sure as we all spend time here to make our living, it is never a place of stress, just kind people.
