Hiring for a Dual Craft Maintenance Technician

  • 4:30pm or 8:00am and work until 7:30pm.
Job Description Perform equipment repairs and preventative maintenance inspections on mechanical and electrical production equipment. Maintain mechanical and electrical equipment used in the production of food products to ensure consistent and reliable operation. Ensure manufacturing equipment is maintained in accordance with established standards and expectations for each department and product line. Complete preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatics, conveyor systems, gearboxes, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and other process equipment. Repair mechanical equipment including conveyors, gear reducers, seals, bearings, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, blowers, and vacuum systems. Maintain facility infrastructure, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and cosmetic building repairs such as light carpentry and painting. Safely operate a wide variety of power tools and hand tools in accordance with safety guidelines. Perform all activities in a safe manner and promptly report any safety concerns or hazards. Provide assistance and support to the Maintenance Leader and Maintenance Leader as needed. Follow company policies and industry regulations related to food manufacturing, safety, and quality. Complete detailed maintenance documentation in RedZone accurately and in a timely manner. Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment and support continuous improvement in maintenance practices. Essential Skills High level of mechanical skills and aptitude in industrial maintenance environments. Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including high and low voltage systems. Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics in an industrial setting. Ability to perform preventive maintenance on motors, conveyor systems, gearboxes, and process equipment. Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical components such as seals, bearings, blowers, and vacuum systems. Knowledge of facilities maintenance, including basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repairs. Ability to safely operate a wide variety of power tools and hand tools. Process understanding within a production or manufacturing environment. Ability to excel in a team environment and collaborate effectively with others. Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines promptly. Positive attitude with a team-first focus. Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with welding in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Familiarity with utilities such as domestic HVAC, compressed air systems, and boilers. Experience with instrumentation used in industrial or process environments. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food manufacturing standards is beneficial. Comfort working in a regulated environment such as FDA and SQF. Experience using computerized maintenance management or production systems such as RedZone. Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of St. Louis, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $52000.00
