House Manager / Family Assistant — Toano, VA Part-Time | MondayFriday, 16 PM

We're a busy family of four in Toano, VA (Williamsburg area) looking for a dependable, proactive House Manager to keep our household running smoothly. This is primarily a house management role with an after-school childcare component — the right candidate will be someone who takes genuine pride in a well-run home and is great with kids as a secondary strength. The Schedule Monday through Friday, 1:00-6:00 PM (25 hours/week guaranteed hours) What You'll Be Doing House Management (1:00-4:00 PM) Daily tidying, cleaning, laundry, and general household organization Dinner prep — following a weekly meal plan, starting the meal and having it ready for the family Errand support and looking proactively for ways to make the household run more efficiently After-School & Family Support (4:00-6:00 PM) School bus pickup and after-school routine management for two kids (ages 7 and 9) Snack, homework supervision, and supervised play until parents arrive home Meal prep and light kitchen cleanup About Our Family We have two kids — a 9-year-old boy and a 7-year-old girl — both active, happy kids who are easy to be around. We also have two very friendly kittens, so comfort with pets is a must. Both parents work full-time and we rely on our house manager as a true partner in keeping things organized and running well. We value partnership, communicate clearly, and are looking for someone who brings the same energy. What We're Looking For Prior experience in house management, a personal assistant role, or as a nanny/family assistant Someone organized, self-directed, and able to manage a task list without being micromanaged Energetic and able to be actively engaged with kids — our two love outdoor sports, running around, and staying on the move A proactive problem-solver who notices what needs to be done and suggests ways to make the household run more smoothly — we are very open to ideas and love someone who brings that initiative Must be comfortable with cats (we have two very friendly 8mo kittens!)
