Position Purpose:

Under general supervision, you'll ensure the cleanliness, upkeep, and presentation of Santee State Park's cabins, bathhouses, and facilities. Your work directly impacts visitor satisfaction and supports the park's mission to provide safe, enjoyable, and memorable experiences.

Core Responsibilities:

Clean and maintain cabins, bathhouses, and other park facilities. Replace linens, make beds, and restock supplies. Perform custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal. Report needed repairs or safety hazards to supervisors. Operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning agents safely. Support park operations by ensuring facilities are visitor-ready at all times. Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work culture rooted in stewardship and service.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED preferred, not required. Must possess a valid South Carolina Driver's License. Must be able to pass a criminal background check. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, bend, kneel, and stand for long periods. Ability to work outdoors in all weather and indoors with cleaning agents.

Preferred Qualifications:

1 year of housekeeping, custodial, or hospitality experience. Experience operating cleaning equipment safely and effectively. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Customer service experience in hospitality or tourism.

Physical & Work Environment:

Primarily indoor settings (cabins, bathhouses, visitor facilities). Exposure to cleaning chemicals, supplies, and occasional outdoor work. Shift work includes weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings.
