Housekeeper

Job Summary We are seeking a flexible and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team and help create a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness across various spaces, ensuring that all areas meet high standards of hygiene and presentation. Our facilities are spread out across the town of Bayview and vary widely from office spaces to short-term rental units, leading to a diverse and ever changing workflow. This paid, part time position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in hospitality, janitorial services, and beyond while working in a fast-paced, energetic environment. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, common areas, hallways, and other designated spaces using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping and vacuuming, to ensure safety and aesthetic appeal Restock supplies such as toiletries, linens, towels, and cleaning materials to ensure availability at all times Follow established protocols for sanitation and safety standards to promote a hygienic environment Report maintenance issues or damages promptly to ensure timely repairs and uphold quality standards Assist with deep cleaning projects including carpet cleaning, window washing, and industrial cleaning tasks as needed Support the overall cleanliness of the facility by adhering to janitorial procedures and hospitality best practices Qualifications Experience in cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services; hotel or hospitality experience is highly desirable Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet maintenance Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude toward guest or resident satisfaction Previous experience in housekeeping management is a plus but not required Join us in creating inviting spaces where comfort meets excellence! This position is part time, due to the nature of the hospitality industry and the fluctuations in occupancy, there will be times (especially in the off season) with less cleaning work available. There are opportunities to gain more hours by completing light landscaping duties such as mowing lawns or raking leaves. This is optional and not a requirement to apply to this job.

Pay:

$17.50 - $22.00 per hour
