Position Summary:
The Housekeeper is a part-time position responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment throughout the community. This role supports daily operations by performing routine cleaning of residential units, common areas, and facility spaces in a safe, efficient, and detail-oriented manner. The Housekeeper plays a key role in ensuring a positive living experience for residents by upholding high standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation across the property. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilites include, but are not limited to: Clean and sanitize residential units, bathrooms, kitchens, and living areas according to established standards Maintain cleanliness of common areas including hallways, lobbies, offices, and shared community spaces Perform routine tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal Replenish supplies in units and common areas as needed (soap, paper products, toiletries, etc.) Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or needed repairs to the appropriate department Follow proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and maintaining safety standards Ensure cleaning carts, equipment, and supplies are stocked, organized, and maintained in good condition Assist with deep cleaning projects and scheduled turnover/refresh of units Support infection control and sanitation protocols as required Provide a high level of customer service and maintain professionalism when interacting with residents and staff Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining quality standardsQualifications:
Prior housekeeping, custodial, or janitorial experience required Ability to follow instructions and work independently Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards Basic knowledge of cleaning products, tools, and safe handling procedures Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment Good communication skills and a professional, respectful demeanor with residents and staff Ability to work as part of a team and support overall community operations Reliable attendance and punctuality required Must be able to read and understand basic work instructions and safety guidelines Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and squat for extended periods Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday Ability to work indoor and outdoor Additional Requirements Must have reliable, registered transportation Must possess a valid driver's license Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening, consistent with applicable law Equal Employment Opportunity We are an equal opportunity employer.
