Shift Available:

6:00 AM•2:30 PM •Weekend availability required We are currently hiring Healthcare Housekeepers for a full-time contract opportunity in Stony Brook, NY. This role is ideal for dependable, detail-oriented individuals who take pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary healthcare environment. Housekeepers play an essential role in supporting patients, staff, and visitors by ensuring cleanliness standards are maintained throughout the facility. Candidates with prior hospital or healthcare housekeeping experience are encouraged to apply.

Important Requirements:

Must live within 25 miles of the facility Must be able to work scheduled hours ( no special scheduling accommodations ) Required to work weekends Must complete 2 weeks of training on Day and Evening shifts Healthcare Housekeeper Responsibilities Picking up and removing hazardous articles from floors, furniture, and equipment and placing them in designated receptacles or appropriate areas Washing floors, corridors, stairwells, walls, partitions, and interior windows using mops, brushes, and cleaning equipment Vacuuming, waxing floors, and shampooing carpets using manual and/or mechanical equipment Scrubbing and cleaning lavatories using hand-operated equipment and approved detergents Cleaning light fixtures and replacing light bulbs using appropriate equipment, including ladders when necessary Polishing wood and metal fixtures and equipment Requisitioning and dispensing linens, household supplies, and equipment while maintaining inventory levels Reporting building repair needs and recommending replacement of furniture, fixtures, and household equipment when necessary Assisting with oversight and support of lower-level cleaning personnel Supporting cleanliness, communication, and customer service standards through ongoing collaboration and training Qualifications Minimum 6 months of housekeeping experience required in a hospital or healthcare setting required Physically able to perform the essential duties of the position Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to exchange information Must live within 25 miles of the facility Must be able to work scheduled hours and weekends as required Why Join Us?
