Housekeeper/Laundry Worker

Motel Housekeeper A Motel Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall comfort of guest rooms and common areas. This role is critical to guest satisfaction and the reputation of the property. A reliable and detail-oriented housekeeper ensures every guest walks into a fresh, welcoming space regardless of what the previous guest left behind. Key Responsibilities Clean and sanitize guest rooms daily including making beds, changing linens, and replacing towels. Vacuum, sweep, and mop all floor surfaces thoroughly. Dust and wipe down all surfaces including furniture, fixtures, mirrors, and electronics. Scrub and disinfect bathrooms including toilets, sinks, showers, and tubs to sanitation standards. Restock all room amenities including toiletries, coffee supplies, and paper products. Inspect rooms for any damages, missing items, or maintenance issues and report them promptly to management. Remove trash and replace liners in all waste bins throughout the room. Organize and restock the housekeeping cart at the start and end of each shift. Respond to guest requests for additional towels, pillows, or supplies in a timely manner. Clean and maintain common areas including laundry rooms, and vending areas. Handle lost and found items according to property policy. Follow all safety and chemical handling procedures when using cleaning products. Meet daily room quota assigned by housekeeping supervisor while maintaining quality standards. Requirements Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred but not required — will train Strong attention to detail and pride in cleanliness Ability to work independently or with a teammate and manage time efficiently Physical stamina to stand, bend, kneel, and lift up to 40 lbs throughout the shift Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy with access to guest rooms Professional and courteous when interacting with guests Availability for early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Basic English communication skills Nice to Have Prior hotel or motel housekeeping experience Knowledge of commercial cleaning products and equipment Bilingual communication skills Work Environment Physically demanding indoor and outdoor environment requiring constant movement, bending, and lifting throughout the shift. Housekeepers are exposed to cleaning chemicals and must follow proper safety protocols at all times. Shifts typically begin in the early morning and range from 6-8 hours. Weekend and holiday availability is essential .

Pay:

$11.00 - $13.00 per hour
