• Lake Blackshear Resort and Golf Club Lake Blackshear Resort / Georgia Veterans State Park, located in Cordele, Georgia, is looking for Housekeepers.

Lake Blackshear Resort has 24 Villa rooms, 10 lake cabins and 82 camp sites located on beautiful 8800-acre cypress lake with restaurant, bar, off site fitness center, conference center, marina with a lake restaurant, 18 hole-golf course designed by Denis Griffiths, hunting preserve, fishing and more. We are managed by the Southeast's premiere hospitality management company, Coral Hospitality.

Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor, this position assists room attendants with supplies, linen and removal of trash.

Qualifications:

Essential Functions:

Empties dirty linen and trash from room attendant carts. Strips check-out rooms. Removes dirty linen and trash. Takes trash out to dumpster. Collect dirty glasses and coffee mugs and deliver clean ones to floors. Ensure linen closets are properly stocked. Checks hallway wall for scuff marks; removes marks from walls. Cleans grills and vents in guests hallways. Delivers and removes mobile sleepers and other items from guest rooms as needed. Brings down all dirty linen to laundry area. Alerts F&B to any room service trays left on floors. Assists Housekeepers where needed. Makes a final check on all floors for room service trays. Delivers and removes mobile sleepers and other items from guest rooms as needed.

Education and/or

Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
