Job Description
Job Summary This position is primarily responsible for providing advocacy and support services driven by client-identified needs and goals to those who have been affected by domestic violence or sex trafficking and are currently homeless or are in jeopardy of being homeless. Responsibilities Ensure the safety and security of Transitional Housing campus and residents. Inspect Transitional Housing units, facilities, and property to ensure Transitional Housing guidelines are being met. Provide voluntary ongoing case management to Transitional Housing residents. Facilitate Transitional Housing application process and assist with resident move-ins/move-outs. Assist clients in accessing government benefits and/or entitlement programs. Organize activities, groups, or classes for residents at Transitional Housing facility. Assist Transitional Housing clients in accessing transportation, household establishment items, and life skills. Provide crisis intervention services for Transitional Housing clients. Available to work after-hours 24-hour crisis line shifts and provide office coverage as needed in Inyo and Mono Counties. Provide culturally sensitive services and work with representatives of underserved communities.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bilingual/biliterate in English and Spanish. High School diploma or equivalency. Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation. Willingness to work evenings and weekends. Ability to use a computer and proficiency with Microsoft Office; willing to learn industry-specific software. Willing to undergo to a live scan background check.Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, related field or equivalent life experience. Two years of experience with a similar agency performing similar or transferable duties. Completion of the Rape Crisis and Domestic Violence Counselor training pursuant to California Evidence Code, Article 8.7, Section 1037.1Pay:
$25.00 - $28.74 per hourBenefits:
