The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and leadership system-wide. The role contributes to the accomplishment of Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality productivity, and standards, goal attainment with retention, engagement, and ongoing development of a quality workforce. The position communicates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to leaders and employees that reflects the mission and vision of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the department's functions position, its 3-5 year plans, its culture, and competitionRESPONSIBILITIES
• Keeps abreast of pertinent federal, and state regulations and laws and Tift Regional Health System, Inc. ("TRHS") policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.Understands and adheres to:
TRHS' compliance standards as they appear in TRHS's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy; and HIPAA and TRHS policies regarding privacy and security of protected health information. Demonstrates the ability to perform tasks that meet the age-specific requirements of the persons, patients, vendors, and staff that the employee is charged to interact with as required by the position. Offers suggestions on ways to improve operations of department and reduce costs. Attends all mandatory education programs. Improves self-knowledge through voluntarily attending continuing education/certification classes. Maintains required competency levels as identified in written exams, skills checklists, skills labs, annual safety and health requirements as well as service excellence education hours requirements. Cross-trains in order to better assist co-workers and to provide maximum efficiency in the department. Volunteers/participates on hospital committees, functions, and department projects. Manages resources effectively. Reports equipment in need of repair in order to extend life of equipment and removes malfunctioning equipment out of service with timely reporting to the appropriate personnel. Makes good use of time so as to not create needless overtime. Conducts meetings as needed with respective departments throughout the system to address HR concerns. Consults with staff and management, providing HR guidance when appropriate. Conducts Exit Interviews. Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group, feedback from Exit Interviews, LEM 30/90 new hire rounding to develop solutions, programs and HR policies. Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the AVP of Human Resources and the compliance department as needed/required. Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation. Assist with administering the performance management process Review job descriptions to ensure accuracy of components Maintains tuition reimbursement, sign on and scholarship paybacks for annual write offs and payouts. Assist leaders with administering the performance improvement plans Provides guidance and input on department restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning Identifies training needs for departments, individuals coaching needs and work with leaders and learning and development to produce positive results Assist with special projects and participate in meetings as needed Acts as a role model and steward to the shared vision, mission, values, and service excellence standards of Tift Regional Health System. Encourages staff and managers to provide input and make decisions to improve employee experience in the hospital. Performs other related duties as assigned. Assists in gathering information from employees for Workmans Compensation. Respond to Ga DOL Claims and Represents TRHS in Ga DOL Hearings. Releases confidential information only in accordance with hospital policy.EDUCATION
• High School Diploma or EquivalentOTHER INFORMATION
Minimum of eight (8) years experience of HR resolving complex employee relations issues. Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws required. SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred.
