Overview The Sr. Lead Advisor, HR Compliance, is a full-time role within the Talent Operations Team in the People Department. The Sr, Lead Advisor is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining HR Compliance programs across Chick-fil-A, Inc., its subsidiaries, affiliated entities, and new ventures. The Sr. Lead Advisor will facilitate consistent and compliant employment practices aligned with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations while maintaining operational excellence. The Sr. Lead Advisor will be a critical partner to business leaders, Legal and Talent Teams, providing strategic guidance and solutions. This role will proactively identify compliance risks, design effective policies and procedures, and create training initiatives to foster a culture of compliance across the company's diverse operations. This is an opportunity for an individual who thrives on building comprehensive compliance programs, monitoring legal & regulatory changes, conducting risk assessments, and balancing risk management while fostering an exceptional employee experience. This role will report to the Director of HR Compliance.
Responsibilities HR Compliance Strategy:
Serve as the HR Compliance leader for a designated entity or business unit, consulting to the business unit on relevant compliance programs. This includes strategically evaluating and understanding the unique business and compliance requirements pertinent to that specific part of the organization.
Collaborative Problem-Solving:
Work collaboratively with stakeholders, leveraging collective knowledge and expertise to solve complex problems, develop robust processes, and implement tailored solutions that address the unique business needs of various internal audiences.
HR Compliance Framework Development & Optimization:
Lead the strategic development, implementation, and continuous optimization of comprehensive HR compliance frameworks, including policies, processes, communications, audit protocols, SOPs, and training programs. Ensure rigorous alignment with federal, state, and local employment laws across diverse entities and jurisdictions. Establish robust documentation standards and proactively revise frameworks in response to regulatory changes, industry trends, and emerging risks
Training and Education:
Lead efforts to create and deliver HR compliance training programs for leadership and employees at all levels across the enterprise. Ensure consistent application of policies across the company. Provide ongoing education and resources to support compliance.
Monitoring and Risk Mitigation:
Monitor changes in employment law and related regulatory developments at the federal, state, and local levels. Regularly review of HR practices to identify potential compliance gaps and risks. Maintain accurate records to reduce risk and support reporting requirements.
Project Leadership:
Lead and manage multiple, concurrent compliance-related projects or deliverables, including developing timelines, crafting clear communications, and creating comprehensive educational materials in collaboration with stakeholders.
Trusted Advisor:
Function as a trusted advisor to HR and business leaders, fostering a deep understanding of compliance practices and guiding the development of effective processes while also building strong partnerships and collaborative relationships.
Communication:
Effectively design and deliver clear, actionable communications to foster understanding and adherence among stakeholders. Analyze HR data and trends, leveraging people analytics to communicate insights effectively through visual storytelling. Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities) Working Experience of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations Experience in HR compliance, employment law, or a related field with demonstrated ability to lead complex compliance programs Proven ability to design and implement effective HR policies and training programs Strong agile learning and analytic skills to understand complex legal regulations Ability to build and maintain trust-based, collaborative relationships and influence others Great flexibility and agility to be nimble in a consistently changing environment Self-starter with natural tendency to take initiative and work independently Proven experience managing multiple priorities and anticipating needs Strong judgment and critical thinking skills Strong organizational skills Ability to manage confidential information with discernment and sensitivity Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong proficiency in all Microsoft Office software and comfortable learning new software/systems Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)
