293428707 Job Description Build Something That Matters Clallam County Fire District #3 serves the community in critical moments. This newly established HR Manager role provides a unique opportunity to shape the people function of an organization built on service, trust, and teamwork. This role goes beyond traditional HR. You'll establish structure, ensure compliance, and help build a cohesive, connected culture across firefighters, leadership, Commissioners, and three unions. What You'll Do Build and lead the District's HR function from the ground up Ensure compliance with Washington State employment laws Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, the Fire Chief and Commissioners Foster strong relationships across three unions and administration Create clear HR policies, processes, and communications Establish HR as a trusted, approachable resource What Success Looks Like Employees confidently turn to HR Leadership has a reliable partner Union relationships are collaborative HR practices are consistent and compliant The organization operates as a unified teamWhat You Bring Required:
5+ years HR experience with strong operational knowledge Knowledge of Washington State employment laws Ability to build trust and navigate sensitive situations Strong communication and relationship skillsPreferred:
Public sector or fire service experience Union experience HR certification (SHRM or HRCI) How toApply:

The HR Manager role reports directly to the Fire Chief and is classified as exempt.
