This is a hands-on, evolving role ideal for someone who enjoys both executing day-to-day HR responsibilities and helping build scalable processes. Initially part-time, this position offers the opportunity to grow into a full-time leadership role as the organization continues to expand. In this role, you will lead recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations efforts, while gradually taking on scheduling and workforce planning responsibilities. You will also serve as a key partner to leadership, helping shape HR infrastructure, policies, and long-term organizational growth. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as healthcare-specific regulations. You will also develop and maintain HR policies and procedures while ensuring accurate and confidential employee recordkeeping. Recruitment & Hiring You will take ownership of full-cycle recruiting, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and selection. Partnering closely with leadership, you will identify staffing needs across multiple care homes and develop strategies to attract and retain qualified caregivers and healthcare staff. This includes coordinating background checks, reference checks, and ensuring all hiring requirements are met. Onboarding & Pre-Employment You will oversee the onboarding process to ensure new hires are properly trained, compliant, and integrated into the organization. This includes managing pre-employment requirements such as drug screenings, certifications, and documentation, as well as ensuring all staff meet regulatory and licensing requirements. You will also support orientation programs and ongoing training initiatives. Employee Scheduling & Workforce Management Over time, you will take on increasing responsibility for staff scheduling across multiple 24-hour residential care homes. You will work closely with site managers to ensure appropriate staffing coverage, address scheduling gaps, and monitor workforce efficiency, including overtime and staffing levels. Organizational Growth & Culture As the organization grows, you will play a key role in developing scalable HR systems and processes. You will help foster a positive, family-oriented workplace culture and serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on workforce planning and HR strategy. You may also lead or support employee engagement initiatives. Qualifications Education & Experience A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent experience will be considered. Candidates should have 3-7+ years of HR experience, ideally within healthcare, social services, or residential care settings.
