Job Description
Position Summary The Talent Acquisition & Benefits Specialist supports the organization's recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, leave management, and HRIS processes. This position partners with hiring managers, employees, vendors, and external agencies to ensure efficient HR operations, compliance with employment regulations, and a positive employee experience. Key Accountabilities Recruitment & Onboarding Coordinate full-cycle recruitment activities, including processing job requests, posting positions, reviewing applicants, scheduling interviews, preparing interview materials, and maintaining recruitment documentation. Partner with hiring managers to identify qualified candidates and support hiring decisions. Extend conditional offers, coordinate start dates, and initiate pre-employment requirements. Coordinate onboarding activities, including HRIS setup, personnel file creation, new hire orientation, I-9 processing, and communication with internal departments. Represent the organization at job fairs, recruitment events, and internship-related activities. Benefits, Leave Administration & HR Support Administer employee benefits and retirement programs, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and annual open enrollment activities. Assist employees with benefit, retirement, and leave-related questions and documentation. Process and maintain leave of absence documentation, including FMLA, disability, personal leave, and workers' compensation claims. Maintain accurate employee records and assist with updating employee information in the HRIS system. Complete employment verifications and other routine HR documentation requests. Perform audits and quality checks to ensure accuracy of HR, benefits, and payroll-related data. Support tuition reimbursement tracking, benefits reporting, invoice processing, and other HR administrative functions as assigned. Compliance & Administrative Support Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and organizational policies. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and organizational information. Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned to support HR operations. Minimum Qualifications Two years' experience in HR, business office, or closely related field or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
