HS Research Assistant Requisition ID req36447 Working Title HS Research Assistant (UNMTemps) Position Grade 06 Position Summary The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the College of Pharmacy isseeking a temporary HS Research Assistant to perform scientific research. TheHS Research Assistant will assist with the collection of data, samples, and/orspecimens, under specific instructions from researchers and senior technicalstaff as to method, process, and technique. This position will perform research experiments for analyses related toachieving project goals and objectives. The individual will collect, analyzeand interpret data, and prepare and present statistical analyses and narrativereports. This individual will be responsible for maintaining a laboratorynotebook and performing scientific experiments. The successful candidate willhave experience with analytical instrumentation, including high performanceliquid chromatography for determination of drug concentrations in varioussamples, knowledge and experience with polymer materials and franz diffusioncells, and experience in statistical evaluation and graphical display of data. See the Position Description for additional information. Conditions of Employment A valid New Mexico driver's license will be required if a motor vehicle must be operated on the job. Successful candidate must submit to post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED; no previous experience required. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Preferred Qualifications Experience in drug-delivery research Direct experience with formulation design and dissolution testing Direct experience with nanoparticle diffusion in vitro models Documented evidence of hands-on research experience in a pharmaceutical sciences laboratory Additional Requirements Campus Health Sciences Center (HSC) - Albuquerque, NM Department COP Pharmaceutical Sciences (553A) Employment Type Staff Staff Type Temporary -
