Job Description
An HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Technician ensures workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and accident prevention by conducting site inspections, enforcing protocols, and providing safety training. They monitor field activities, investigate incidents, and maintain records, often focusing on operational safety and on-site implementation of safety culture. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Key Responsibilities Inspections:
Conduct daily walkthroughs to identify hazards and verify adherence to safety regulations.Compliance:
Ensure compliance with company, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA).Incident Investigation:
Investigate accidents, injuries, and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.Training & Education:
Lead safety orientations, toolbox meetings, and training sessions.Equipment & PPE:
Inspect personal protective equipment (PPE), emergency equipment, and safety systems.Documentation:
