Position Description:
The HR Generalist plays a vital role in supporting a wide range of HR functions in a dynamic manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on benefits/wellness, payroll, retention, employee engagement, and reporting. Working closely with the Director of HR and plant leadership, this role helps drive a positive and empowered workplace while supporting key HR areas including employee relations, training, wellness, and overall employee experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
Complete the bi-weekly salary payroll and all relevant reporting Benefit administration for new hires and existing employees Recruiting for salary associates Responsible for annual open enrollment Partner with operations to resolve employee relations issues including conducting investigations and assist with employee relations counseling, escalating any complex issues to the Director of HR Act as SME for Paycor/HRIS system Assist with the creation and implementation of recruiting and retention strategies Assist with initiatives that support positive employee engagement and culture Partner with Director of HR to review, update, and communicate human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and other federal regulations Compile and report relevant HR metrics to Director of HR Assist in establishing a culture of openness, honesty, and integrity through solid associate relation practices and communication by supporting fair and consistent practices Assist with completion of required reports such as ACA and EEOC Other duties as assigned
Key Performance Metrics:
Deliver HR initiatives within the operating budget Retention as it relates to set KPIs HR compliance
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
Experience with processing payroll, Paycor HRIS is highly preferred Experience with complex employee relations Experience in a manufacturing setting Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or other related field preferred
