Job Description

A Human Resource Assistant provides essential administrative support to the HR department, managing employee records, assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and benefits administration. They act as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries, maintain databases, answer timeclock questions, and ensure compliance with labor laws. This entry-level role requires high confidentiality and organizational skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment & Hiring:
Posting job openings, assist in distributing applications to the correct hiring manager in a timely manner. May assist in screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and working with the Cannabis Commission and other regulatory bodies as directed.
Onboarding & Orientation:
Preparing new hire paperwork, setting up workstations, and conducting orientation sessions. Will help make copies, scan, or edit PowerPoint presentations to prepare for employee meetings with a wide variety of topics.
Records Management:
Maintaining digital and paper personnel files and conducting file audits. Will provide assistance to filing paperwork.
Employee Support:
Answering questions regarding company policies, benefits, and timeclocks and a wide variety of employee questions. Will forward inquiries to the appropriate people/position to complete the inquiry. This position plays an important role in high quality employee interactions and service to leadership to support the core values and mission of Waabigwan.
Administrative Support:
Sorting mail, managing calendars, processing payroll timesheets, and organizing company events. This position will ensure that important information is distributed accurately and in a timely manner. May take messages and provide general administrative support to other Leadership such as the CEO and Director of Operations.
Pay:
