Job Description
Our client is currently seeking or in need of a Human Resources Coordinator to support daily HR operations at their facility in Bensenville, Illinois. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who is bilingual in English and Spanish and comfortable assisting employees, managers, and staffing partners in a fast-paced environment. The Human Resources Coordinator will help maintain accurate employee records, support payroll-related processes, assist with onboarding, and serve as a reliable resource for associates with general workplace questions. This position requires strong communication skills, excellent follow-through, and the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and care.
The Day-to-Day:
Serve as the first point of contact for associates regarding general questions related to company policies, procedures, benefits, payroll, and other HR-related matters. Troubleshoot employee concerns by gathering information, communicating with the appropriate stakeholders, and following through with practical solutions. Escalate complex employee issues or sensitive inquiries to the HR Generalist when additional support is needed. Coordinate communication with Team Leads, Supervisors, and Managers by providing key updates, reminders, and information for daily stand-up meetings and team discussions. Monitor daily and weekly staffing needs by partnering with distribution center management and outside staffing vendors to help maintain proper staffing levels. Support recruitment efforts by screening applicants, scheduling on-site interviews, conducting background and reference checks, and sending follow-up communication to candidates and new hires. Assist with the new hire process, including orientation support, onboarding activities, new hire paperwork, I-9 completion, and related documentation. Input and maintain accurate employee information in HRIS and vendor systems, including ADP, E-Verify, and other platforms as required. Coordinate new hire benefit enrollments and assist with the annual open enrollment process. Maintain digital employee files, I-9 records, and HR documentation in accordance with company standards and legal recordkeeping requirements. Assist with employee leaves of absence by providing guidance to employees and managers, communicating with leave vendors, and coordinating with payroll to help ensure accurate payment of leave benefits.Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Must be bilingual in English and Spanish. Previous human resources, administrative, payroll, staffing, or employee support experience preferred. Ability to ensure accurate reporting of exempt and non-exempt PTO. Ability to prepare payroll information and transmit data to the corporate payroll team for weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing. Comfortable working with HRIS, payroll, onboarding, and employee recordkeeping systems. Experience with ADP, E-Verify, or similar platforms is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation. Excellent communication and follow-up skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Capable of working independently while supporting a team-oriented environment. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities throughout the day.Pay Rate:
$21.00 to $25.00 per hourSchedule:
