Job Description

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for delivering comprehensive HR support for the Coining Montvale, NJ facility. This role partners closely with the Coining leadership team to foster a positive, compliant, and high‑performance work environment that supports sustained business growth.
As a key member of the local management team, the HR Generalist provides guidance across employee relations, performance management, payroll administration, compliance, benefits, training, and safety initiatives. Key Responsibilities Serve as a trusted HR partner to managers and employees across assigned SMP locations.
Coach leaders on performance management, including goal setting, feedback, corrective action, employee development, and succession planning.
Administer bi‑weekly payroll for multiple SMP locations in coordination with the Corporate Payroll team, ensuring accurate timekeeping, pay processing, and compliance with applicable wage and hour laws.
Act as the primary point of contact for payroll‑related questions and resolution of discrepancies.
Ensure consistent application and reinforcement of HR policies, procedures, and employment practices.
Support benefits administration, including open enrollment and employee inquiries.
Partner with managers to plan and manage organizational change, with an emphasis on clear and effective employee communication.
Identify training needs, coordinate learning initiatives, and ensure proper documentation of completed training.
Administer Workers' Compensation programs, including recordkeeping, reporting, and transitional work assignments as needed.
Lead full‑cycle recruitment efforts, including candidate screening, interviewing, reference checks, job offers, and onboarding.
Provide employee relations guidance, conduct workplace investigations as appropriate, and perform exit interviews.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Support health, safety, and employee engagement programs and initiatives.
Plan and lead employee events and activities.
Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
PHR and/or SHRM‑CP certification preferred.
Working knowledge of HR practices related to OSHA, FMLA, COBRA, STD, AAP, EEO, ADA, Unemployment, and Workers' Compensation.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
Proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset with strong organizational skills.
Manufacturing environment experience preferred.
