Job Description
About the Opportunity We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on HR Manager to support the launch of a brand-new inpatient behavioral health treatment center in Virginia. This role is ideal for a highly organized professional who thrives in startup environments and is excited to build HR infrastructure from the ground up. In addition to leading all core human resources functions, this individual will also oversee office management and administrative operations , ensuring the facility runs efficiently on a day-to-day basis. Key ResponsibilitiesHuman Resources Leadership Lead full-cycle HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and offboarding Partner with leadership to develop and implement HR policies, SOPs, and best practices Ensure compliance with federal, state (Virginia), and local labor laws, as well as healthcare regulations Maintain employee records and ensure readiness for audits (e.g., Joint Commission compliance) Support performance management processes, including reviews, corrective actions, and employee development Oversee benefits administration, payroll coordination, and employee engagement initiatives Assist in building staffing models and hiring plans for a new facility opening Office Management & Administrative Oversight Manage daily office operations including supplies, vendor coordination, and facility needs Serve as the point of contact for administrative functions across departments Oversee scheduling coordination for administrative staff and support functions Ensure a professional, organized, and efficient office environment Assist leadership with reporting, documentation, and operational logistics Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred 3+ years of HR experience required; prior HR leadership or standalone HR role strongly preferred Experience in behavioral health or healthcare setting preferred Strong knowledge of HR compliance, employee relations, and HR best practices Experience supporting new facility openings or high-growth environments is a plus Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting Strong interpersonal and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems Preferred Experience Behavioral health treatment setting (detox, residential, PHP/IOP) Familiarity with Joint Commission or CARF standards Experience handling personnel files and audit readiness in healthcare environments
Pay:
$55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per yearBenefits:
