Lead modernization efforts, including automation and HRIS optimization, to create a more agile and paperless environment
Talent, Performance & Development
Build and execute strategies to attract, develop, and retain top talent across a diverse workforce
Partner with leadership to strengthen performance management, succession planning, and leadership development
Create scalable systems that elevate employee experience and organizational capability
Compliance, Risk & Governance
Ensure full compliance with employment laws, regulations, and nonprofit operational requirements
Provide expert guidance on employee relations, compensation, benefits, and policy development
Partner closely with Compliance, Risk, and Safety leadership to proactively address organizational risks
Mergers, Acquisitions & Growth
Lead HR due diligence and integration efforts for mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships
Ensure seamless employee transitions and alignment of culture, policies, and practices
Leadership & Collaboration
Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing HR team
Collaborate across business units, programs, and leadership teams to deliver integrated solutions
Build trust through authenticity, transparency, and sound judgment
What You Bring
Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Public Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
10+ years of progressive HR experience, including 5+ years leading HR in a large, complex organization (~2,000+ employees)
Strong background in nonprofit operations, including grants, contracts, and regulatory environments
Proven ability to balance strategy with execution—you can design the roadmap and drive the work
Deep expertise in employment law, compliance, and risk mitigation
Experience leading enterprise HR transformations, process improvements, and system implementations
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
