About the Opportunity We are a well-established and growing hospitality management company overseeing a diverse portfolio of full-service and select-service hotel properties across multiple markets. We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Vice President of Human Resources to lead and elevate our HR function, ensuring alignment with business objectives while fostering a high-performance, people-focused culture. This is a key leadership role responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that support operational excellence, talent development, and compliance across a multi-property organization. Position Summary The Vice President of Human Resources will serve as a trusted partner to executive leadership and operational teams, providing guidance and oversight in all areas of human resources, including employee relations, talent acquisition, compliance, performance management, training and development, and organizational effectiveness. This role requires a strong understanding of the hospitality industry, a proactive leadership approach, and the ability to balance strategic initiatives with day-to-day HR operations. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute HR strategies that align with organizational goals and support a multi-property hospitality portfolio Provide leadership and direction across all HR functions, including employee relations, recruitment, training, compliance, and performance management Partner with executive leadership and property-level management to drive engagement, retention, and workforce planning initiatives Ensure compliance with federal, state (including California), and local employment laws and regulations Lead and support complex employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions Oversee and enhance talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain high-quality candidates across all levels of the organization Drive leadership development and training initiatives to strengthen management capabilities across properties Evaluate and improve HR processes, policies, and systems to support operational efficiency and scalability Collaborate with payroll, benefits, and operations teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in HR practices Monitor and analyze HR metrics to inform decision-making and identify trends Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required (Master's degree preferred) 8+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably within hospitality, multi-unit, or service-based industries Strong knowledge of California employment laws and HR best practices Proven experience supporting multi-location operations and partnering with executive leadership Demonstrated ability to lead employee relations efforts, including investigations and conflict resolution Experience developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives at an organizational level Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred Work Environment This is an on-site position based in the Walnut Creek / San Francisco Bay Area Regular travel to hotel properties may be required Why Join Us Opportunity to lead HR strategy for a growing hospitality organization Collaborative leadership environment Ability to make a meaningful impact on company culture and operations If you are a strategic HR leader with a passion for hospitality and people development, we encourage you to apply.

$175,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
