ABOUT THE ROLE
Jackmont Hospitality, a restaurant management company with a portfolio of brands that include TGI Fridays, One Flew South, Buca Di Beppo, Chicken and Beer, Charley's, Timber Pizza Company, and NY Pizza and who operate mostly in the
ATL, LAX, MIA, DCA, BWI, PHL, EWR
airports. This fast-moving, people-first company is looking for a VP of Human Resources who matches that energy. This is a senior leadership seat and not just an HR function. You'll serve as a trusted partner to the executive team and build the kind of HR department that actually moves the business forward. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable setting long-term strategy and rolling up their sleeves to get it done. You know that great hospitality starts with great people, and you're ready to build the systems, culture, and talent pipeline that makes that possible.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
People Strategy & Leadership Own the full People strategy and employee life cycle — from recruit to retire — ensuring it reflects the pace and spirit of a hospitality-driven culture. Sit at the executive table as a genuine business partner, contributing to high-level discussions on culture, growth, and organizational direction. Build and lead a full-service HR team, setting clear roles, expectations, and a culture of accountability within the department. Manage the HR department P&L and allocate resources to maximize impact. Talent & People Development Drive Succession Planning and Leadership Development programs that build talent from within and keep the pipeline full as the company grows. Lead our People Development program — empowering the field to solve problems independently while holding the strategic thread at the top. Own executive-level recruiting, attracting leaders who fit our culture and can raise the bar across the organization. Culture & Employee Experience Shape and champion a company culture that people are proud to be part of — proactively driving engagement, inclusion, and belonging. Bring fresh ideas to improve the employee experience across the full life cycle, from onboarding through career growth and beyond. Build a culture where accountability and development go hand-in-hand. Operations, Compliance & Systems Ensure rigorous multi-state employment law compliance across all restaurant operations. Oversee HRIS administration and lead HR technology innovation — including optimizing ADP Workforce Now to drive efficiency across the organization. Manage employment litigation and workers' compensation with a proactive, risk-forward approach that protects the company. Set Labor Relations strategy and manage all collective bargaining relationships and contract negotiations. Lead benefits and compensation benchmarking, and develop performance management frameworks that scale with the business. Partner closely with Payroll — and directly oversee payroll operations when applicable.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR 12-15
years of progressive HR leadership experience; restaurant or multi-unit hospitality experience is strongly preferred. Demonstrated success scaling and structuring HR departments in growth-stage or mid-size organizations. Multi-state, multi-unit operational experience is required. Deep expertise with ADP Workforce Now or comparable HCM platforms. Extensive experience in labor relations and collective bargaining negotiations. Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or a related field; MBA or Master's degree is a plus. SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification preferred. Exceptional communicator — equally effective in a one-on-one conversation and in front of the board.
THE RIGHT FIT
Equal parts strategist and operator — you know when to set the vision and when to dig in personally. A natural culture carrier who brings warmth, energy, and high standards to every room. Creative thinker who challenges the status quo and brings ideas from outside our four walls. Intellectually curious — you're always learning, and you make the people around you better. Comfortable with ambiguity and energized by the opportunity to build.
