CHIEF HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER
QUALIFICATIONS:
Possession of Kentucky Superintendent certification; A minimum of five years of successful experience as district/building level administrator in school operations and support; Knowledge and proven expertise in the area of human resources functions in K-12 educational settings; Proven ability to communicate effectively with others; Proven ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with administrators, teachers, staff, parents, families, and community partners. Proven ability in organizational management including long-range planning and needs assessment strategies. Such additional qualifications as the Superintendent or Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Supervises and evaluates Human Resources Manager, Human Resources Assistant, and other staff as assigned
JOB GOAL
To provide leadership in the management of the assigned programs to as great advantage as possible to benefit the educational excellence of the district's programs, facilities, and personnel.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides district-wide vision, leadership, and overall direction in the area of human resources. Supports the Superintendent in carrying out policies, procedures, and processes related to District human resources including, but not limited to, investigations and recommendations for potential disciplinary actions, the development of job descriptions, and the development and implementation of evaluation systems for certified and classified employees. Provides a leadership role in and supervises District staff in the following areas of responsibility: human resources, communications, and other areas as assigned. Conducts annual evaluations of direct reports in each of the areas listed above. Reports regularly to the Superintendent and Board regarding human resources, communications, and other areas as assigned. Provides district-wide vision, leadership, and overall direction in the area of communications. Leads the process of determining the priorities, projects, and future directions of the district's information functions. Coordinates the school district's onboarding and induction of new employees. Ensures all employees have completed all training and requirements. Ensures all employees have met all certification requirements for employment. Leads the school district's retention and recruitment efforts. Researches and oversees current and future grants Supervises and oversees substitute employees Creates, develops, and oversees employee termination, non-renewal, resignation, and retirement (employee separation) Performs other job-related duties as assigned by Superintendent.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Strictly adheres to the Kentucky Certified Code of Ethics (704 KAR 20:680) Must be able to be meet and maintain all requirements to become and maintain status of bonded employee Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, written language, and hearing Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull light objects and students up to 25 lbs.
TERM OF SERVICE
Salary and workdays to be established by the Board.
EVALUATION
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Certified Personnel.
