This Chief Human Resources Officer role offers a unique opportunity to shape organizational culture, drive HR strategy, and make a meaningful impact on a mission-driven workforce.Salary:
$120,000 - $160,000 annuallySchedule:
Full-time Position Overview The Chief Human Resources Officer will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for developing and executing comprehensive HR strategies aligned with organizational goals. This Chief Human Resources Officer will oversee all HR functions, including talent management, compliance, labor relations, performance management, and organizational development. This is a highly visible position requiring both strategic vision and hands-on execution to enhance organizational effectiveness, strengthen culture, and mitigate risk. Key Responsibilities Provide executive-level leadership for all HR operations, including policy development and compliance Ensure adherence to federal and state employment laws and regulations Lead and develop a high-performing HR team with clear accountability Oversee HR systems and workforce data analytics to support decision-making Drive recruitment, retention, engagement, and workforce planning initiatives Partner with executive leadership to foster a collaborative and inclusive culture Design and implement competitive compensation and benefits programs Manage employee and labor relations, including union interactions when applicable Support organizational design, succession planning, and leadership development Oversee training programs, performance management systems, and workforce development initiatives Ensure compliance with retirement and benefits programs administration Address employee relations issues with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership responsibilities Strong background in employee relations, compliance, compensation, and talent development Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations preferred Exposure to union environments strongly preferred HR certification (PHR/SPHR/SHRM) is a plus Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Key Competencies Strategic leadership and execution Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills Analytical and organizational excellence High level of integrity and professionalism Ability to manage complex HR environments and competing priorities Why This Role?
