This pivotal role reports to the president and is responsible for shaping and executing comprehensive HR strategies that foster a high-performance culture, enhance employee engagement, and ensure compliance with all employment laws. The CHRO will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, driving organizational growth through innovative talent management, effective employee relations, and robust HR programs. This energetic leader will champion initiatives that support our mission to create an inclusive, productive, and motivated workforce aligned with our strategic goals. Responsibilities Develop and implement HR strategies that support organizational objectives, including talent acquisition, succession planning, and organizational design. Oversee employee relations programs to promote a positive work environment while managing conflict resolution and disciplinary processes. Lead comprehensive talent sourcing efforts utilizing HRIS systems such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or Oracle HCM to attract top talent across all levels. Manage performance management systems, employee evaluations, and training & development initiatives to foster continuous growth. Ensure compliance with employment & labor law, OSHA standards, FMLA regulations, and workers' compensation policies. Administer benefits programs including payroll processing through platforms like ADP or Paychex, benefits administration, and wellness initiatives. Supervise HR teams responsible for employee orientation, HR sourcing, HRIS data collection & analysis, and process improvement projects. Requirements Proven experience in senior leadership roles within human resources management with a strong background in strategy development and program management. Extensive knowledge of employment law, OSHA regulations, FMLA policies, workers' compensation procedures, and HR compliance standards. Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, conflict management, and employee relations to foster a collaborative workplace environment. Construction or related industry background. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to senior leadership and diverse teams. Supervising experience leading HR teams in fast-paced environments; ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. We will relocate from anywhere within the USA.
