Role:
The Human Resource Director plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the overall human capital strategy to support the organization's mission and growth objectives. This leadership position is responsible for overseeing all HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, and compliance with labor laws. The director will collaborate closely with senior management to align HR initiatives with business goals, fostering a positive and productive workplace culture. They will also lead efforts to develop and implement policies that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across the organization. Ultimately, the Human Resource Director ensures that the organization attracts, retains, and develops top talent while maintaining a compliant and engaging work environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. At least 8 years of progressive experience in human resources management, including leadership roles. Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations in the United States. Proven experience in developing and implementing HR policies and programs. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, or an MBA. Professional HR certification such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR. Experience working in a multi-state or national organization. Demonstrated success in leading diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Familiarity with HRIS systems and data analytics tools.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy. Oversee recruitment and staffing processes to attract and retain high-quality talent. Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and fostering a positive work environment. Lead performance management programs, including goal setting, evaluations, and professional development plans. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Design and administer competitive compensation and benefits programs. Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives throughout the organization. Provide leadership and guidance to the HR team, ensuring effective delivery of HR services. Collaborate with senior leadership to support organizational change and development. Monitor HR metrics and prepare reports to inform strategic decision-making.
