General Public- G Job Duties To manage a variety of human resource day-to-day operations, specifically in regard to Recruitment and Onboarding for the University faculty, students, and staff.
- Knowledge of general Human Resources practices and applicable State and Federal laws and regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, adapt to changing priorities, organize and prioritize work, and meet deadlines; ability to work accurately with detailed and confidential information.
- Ability to think strategically, develop long-range recruitment and retention plans, & organize/initiate recruitment activities and processes.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, with all levels of staff; excellent customer service skills necessary.
- Ability to compile and analyze data and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Must exercise sound judgment and to make reasonable, logical and defensible decisions.
- Exceptional computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
- Must be able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision. Additional Considerations
- Experience with higher education in human resource operations or prior experience with a state agency in the Commonwealth, preferably in the area of recruitment.
- PHR certification.
- Master's degree in human resources.
