  • G Job Duties To manage a variety of human resource day-to-day operations, specifically in regard to Recruitment and Onboarding for the University faculty, students, and staff.
This position is an immensely critical element in the performance of Human Resource initiatives. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the university. The Human Resources Business Partner maintains an effective level of business literacy about the unit level operations, their personnel needs, talent development and acquisition and organizational structures. Minimum Qualifications
  • Knowledge of general Human Resources practices and applicable State and Federal laws and regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, adapt to changing priorities, organize and prioritize work, and meet deadlines; ability to work accurately with detailed and confidential information.
  • Ability to think strategically, develop long-range recruitment and retention plans, & organize/initiate recruitment activities and processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, with all levels of staff; excellent customer service skills necessary.
  • Ability to compile and analyze data and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Must exercise sound judgment and to make reasonable, logical and defensible decisions.
  • Exceptional computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision. Additional Considerations
  • Experience with higher education in human resource operations or prior experience with a state agency in the Commonwealth, preferably in the area of recruitment.
  • PHR certification.
  • Master's degree in human resources.
