Job Description:
Key Responsibilities Administer pension benefits, including calculating retirement, death, and adjusted benefits Process applications, payments, account updates, and monthly pension payables Assist participants and third parties with inquiries related to benefits, eligibility, and plan provisions Maintain accurate participant records and ensure compliance with federal regulations and plan policies Handle financial transactions, including ACH, wire transfers, audits, and payment adjustments Manage complex cases such as death benefits, beneficiary claims, estate payments, and QDROs Review legal documents (e.g., power of attorney, marriage/divorce records) for benefit eligibility Prepare reports, annual statements, claim determinations, and appeals documentation Operations & Projects Collaborate with internal teams, consultants, and vendors to support daily operations Assist with audits, actuarial processes, and regulatory updates Support process improvements, system enhancements, and workflow documentation Train team members and participate in cross-functional projects Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in finance, accounting, or related field Experience in pension administration, benefits, or financial services preferred Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and handle confidential information All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
