Verification of Benefits Specialist Indigo Billing Costa Mesa, CA Job Details Full-time $22 - $26 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Interpersonal skills High school diploma or GED Attention to detail Manual handling Behavioral health Full Job Description Essential Responsibilities It is the responsibility of the Verification of Benefits (VOB) Specialist to ensure that insurance benefits are verified in accordance with departmental protocols in an accurate and timely fashion. Essential Duties  Make a high volume of claim follow-up calls to insurance carries each day  Run Verification of Benefits for prospective patients at our facilities  Use portals and online resources such as Availity to confirm policy status and eligibility  Use our tools and resources to provide accurate estimated reimbursements and policy recommendations  Communicate in a professional manner internally and with our clients  Work collaboratively with the VOB team  Provide timely response to any Verification of Benefit request  Perform other related duties as assigned.  Basic familiarity with EMR software  Exceptional customer service and both verbal and written communications skills  Must be a team player and be willing to multitask  Attention to detail and must be organized Qualifications  High School Diploma or equivalent required.  Verification of benefits experience, preferred.  Behavioral health experience preferred.  Working knowledge of applicable insurance, and verification of benefits software. Availity, Verify TX a plus.
