Eligibility & Benefits Associate

Highly successful medical oncology/hematology group practice seeking an experienced eligibility & benefits associate. The ideal candidate will have experience verifying insurance benefits. Pleasant teamwork-oriented environment. Excellent communication and customer service skills Competitive salary and excellent benefits package. Minimum of 3 years experience working with Medi-cal, Medi-cal HMO's.

Responsibilities:

Verifying insurance benefits Enrolling patients in patient assistance programs Updating patient demographic/insurance changes Communicate with patients regarding insurance benefits, deductibles and out of pocket responsibilities Other duties as assigned Candidate must be professional, compassionate, able to multitask, eager to learn, work well in a timely manner and able to work in a team environment Bilingual preferred

Experience:

Previous experience in insurance, deductible and out of pocket benefits preferred Proficiency in verification of medical insurances Familiarity with medical office procedures and documentation requirements Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with teammates and patients Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Fax resume to 760-636-7090
