Exemption Type Exempt Education High School Diploma Job Description Provide customer service in a timely, professional, and accurate manner; initial acknowledgment of inquiries within 24 hours of receipt of inquiry (except weekends). Provide assistance and is knowledgeable of the retirement and benefits programs such as Federal Employees Retirement Systems (FERS, FERS-RAE, FERSFRAE, Civil Service Retirement Systems (CSRS and CS-Offset), Federal Erroneous Retirement Coverage Correction Action (FERCCA), Thrift Savings Plan (TSP), Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) Program, Federal Employees Dental/ Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP), Federal Employees Group Life Insurance (FEGLI) Program, Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program (FLTCIP), Federal Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAFEDS), and other related programs. Provide guidance, consultation, and assistance to employees, managers, annuitants, eligible family members, former employees, survivors, and beneficiaries regarding benefits under these programs. Provide guidance and is knowledgeable on federal laws, regulations, policies, and procedures governing Federal Retirement and Benefits Programs. Research and interpret policies, regulatory guides, and regulations needed to resolve complex issues/cases regarding retirement and benefits programs. This may include working with outside agencies such as Office of Personnel Management (OPM), TSP, and SSA. Provide high-level skilled support for receiving, compiling, and processing retirement cases and benefits utilizing various automated systems such as eOPF, DFAS, EWITS, DPRW, and others. Conduct new employee orientation, training, and presentations on federal retirement, benefits and entitlements programs. Assist in arranging presentations from outside entities such as TSP and SSA; provide guidance and advice to staff. Maintain case tracking and periodic review; maintain case tracking and periodic review via electronic. Scan documents into eOPF. Manage and prioritize multiple demanding requests with competing deadlines based on mission needs; provide accurate status updates on assigned actions. Maintain professionalism in all written and verbal communications and coordinate effectively with hiring managers, Human Resources (HR) teams, and program officials. Job Requirements Provides high-level skilled support in appropriate functional area/s according to job requirements, delivers high-quality service and deliverables for Federal HR programs requiring knowledge of Federal HR terminology, operations, procedures, and requirements. May perform tasks in any area/s of HR, including policy. Must be capable of completing high-quality work expeditiously under minimal supervision. Minimum Experience Four (4) years of Federal HR experience, at least 3 of which must be specialized experience in Federal Benefits and Retirement. A college degree may substitute for 1 year of nonspecialized experience. Position requires proven administrative skills and experience with HR automated systems. Min Education
