Benefits Specialist (Pension Administration) Gabriel, Roeder, Smith & Company Fort Lauderdale, FL Job Details Full-time 18 hours ago Qualifications Spanish Microsoft Excel Phone communication English Productivity software Client interaction via phone calls Full Job Description GRS has an opening for a full-time Benefits Specialist in its Fort Lauderdale, Florida (Office will moving to Sunrise in September) The Primary Responsibilities of a Benefits Specialist at GRS are as follows: Organize and maintain participant data files Answer phone calls / emails from participants regarding Retirement Plan Prepare benefit applications for participants Work with custodian to set up retirees for payment Assist with calculating benefits for retiring and terminating members Communicate with participants and entities Banking and financial recordkeeping Provide other non-recurring assistance as directed by Pension Plan Administrators We ask that candidates possess the following minimum knowledge, skills and abilities: Five or more years of professional full-time work experience Must be bilingual (fluent in both English and Spanish and able to answer participants' phone calls in either language Proficient with Microsoft Office Word and Excel Strong communication skills Strong attention to detail Candidate must be able to work both individually and as part of a team and be available for in-office work at least three days per week In addition, it is preferred that the successful candidate possesses the following: Two or more years of hands-on plan administration experience, with plans in the state of Florida Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
