Summary The Admissions/Benefit Verification Specialist is responsible for developing, managing, and implementing systems, particularly insurance benefit verification, client screenings, admissions and contacts utilization reviewers and Case Managers.

Responsibilities Verify insurance benefits for new and existing clients accurately and efficiently. Collaborate with insurance providers to clarify coverage details. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies and coding requirements. Document verification outcomes in medical records system. Assist clients and staff with insurance-related questions and concerns. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other privacy regulations. Support billing and coding processes as needed. Contribute to team efforts to streamline insurance verification procedures. Qualifications Proven experience in insurance verification within a healthcare setting. Strong understanding of managed care, CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10 codes. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Experience with medical records management. Familiarity with Substance Abuse Inpatient and Outpatient LOC is a plus but not required.
