Role Overview The Health & Welfare Benefits Analyst is responsible for the operational administration, compliance support, and day-to-day management of the company's health and welfare benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA, HSA, and wellness offerings. This role ensures accurate eligibility, enrollment, vendor coordination, and employee support while partnering closely with HR, Payroll, HRIS, benefits vendors, and external administrators. The analyst also serves as a subject-matter expert, supporting annual enrollment, vendor governance, compliance activities, and continuous process improvement. Key Responsibilities Manage eligibility, enrollment, life events, and termination processing within benefits administration systems Resolve discrepancies across HRIS, payroll, and vendor systems Support open enrollment planning, testing, execution, and reconciliation Validate dependent eligibility documentation Partner with payroll to ensure accurate deductions and contributions Research and resolve billing discrepancies and retroactive adjustments Support testing of payroll and HRIS changes Ensure compliance with ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, and regulations Coordinate COBRA processing with vendors Respond to employee inquiries and explain benefit options and rules Support benefit communications and resolve escalations Prepare reports, reconciliations, and operational metrics Identify process improvements and document workflows Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 1-3 years of HR experience with payroll and HRIS exposure Knowledge of health and welfare plans including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA, and HSA Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to manage confidential information Experience in employee communication preferred Advanced Excel and reporting skills High attention to detail and accuracy Strong communication skills and continuous improvement mindset Why Should You Apply?
