Full Time Engage PEO, recognized on the 'INC. 5000 Honor Roll for the Fastest Growing Companies' is seeking a Leave Specialist. The Leave Specialist is responsible for understanding the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and state leave regulations, processing of leaves, review of medical certifications, and ongoing relationship management with clients and worksite employees (WSE). The Leave Specialist must exercise independent judgment and be fully versed on the FMLA, applicable state leave laws as well as client specific processing of leaves.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Process leave requests following Standard Operating Procedures and utilizing leave administration software solution (AbsenceSoft) Serve as primary point of contact for WSEs regarding leave requests Provide customer service to clients and WSEs regarding leave administration and answer questions regarding federal and state leave benefits Document approved leaves in current systems, including CRM and Prism Respond timely to leave requests and inquiries as well as system generated tasks Utilize approved communication templates for WSE and client interactions As needed, coordinate with the benefits team on available disability insurance eligibility Provide monthly reports to clients with active leaves
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Be punctual for work schedule and meetings, demonstrating reliability and consistency Promptly complete tasks assigned by management and ensure all duties are carried out thoroughly and with attention to detail Maintain consistency in actions, methods, and outcomes Collaborate effectively as a team member, contributing to shared goals and supporting colleagues as needed Identify opportunities for training to improve and enhance skills and knowledge Make recommendations to continuously improve the process and client experience
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or related field, is preferred but not required Minimum 3 years of relevant experience Knowledge of leave laws and effective processes Proficient with MS Office and systems with workflows Professional Employer Organization (PEO) experience is a plus
COMPENSATION
The starting base pay for this position is listed below. However, you should know that the pay rate may vary based on regional location, the candidate's skill, and relevant experience. In addition, some positions may include a form of bonus or other incentive compensation, which would not be included in this hourly range.
Salary Range:
$20.00-$25.00 per hour
