- Friday, 7:00 am
- 4:00 pm, with occasional overtime.

Position Summary:
The Payroll Specialist supports the company's field and office workforce by processing weekly payroll, employee benefits administration, recordkeeping, reporting, and related compliance. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and submit accurate multistate weekly payroll, including employee changes, deductions, adjustments, and supporting documentation using iSolve. Review and verify timesheets submitted by supervisors; resolve discrepancies proactively. Process payroll tax filings, reconciliations, and related records in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain payroll records, including new hires, terminations, wage changes, garnishments, and benefit deductions with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality. Review payroll reports and supporting data to minimize errors and corrections before payroll is finalized. Ensure compliance with state & federal wage and hour laws & fringe benefit requirements. Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life, disability, supplemental offerings, and 401k related processes. Assist employees with benefits enrollment, life event changes, questions, and claims related support. Reconcile insurance invoices and payroll deductions, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate resolution with brokers, carriers, and service partners. Support COBRA administration, unemployment claims, required notices, and other payroll and benefits related compliance activities. Prepare routine and ad hoc reports, including new hire, absentee, and employee changing reporting. Respond to employee payroll-related questions in a professional and timely manner. Generate payroll reports and assist with audits, renewals, and process improvements when necessary. May be assigned other duties.
Qualifications:
3+ years of payroll experience required, benefits administration, accounting support, HR/ payroll, or similar role. Familiarity with HR laws and payroll regulations (FLSA, EEOC, FMLA, COBRA ,etc.). Experience with multistate payroll tax filings, benefits billing, payroll deductions, compliance support, or insurance-related administration is strongly preferred. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP, Employee Navigator, Fidelity, Ameriflex, Solved, and iHire preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Teams. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to manage competing priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Willing to submit to a background check and drug screening.
Physical Requirements:
This position involves regular physical activity, including: Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections. Standing and sitting at a desk working on a computer for prolonged periods. Frequent bending, kneeling, and crouching. Pushing and pulling heavy objects. Lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds at a time.
