Benefits Assistant Soni Resources Group - 4.2 Boston, MA Job Details Contract $30 - $34 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Retirement plan Qualifications Customer communication Full Job Description The Benefits Assistant supports the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, leave programs, and wellness initiatives. This role assists employees with benefits-related questions, processes enrollments and changes, maintains accurate records, and ensures compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist with the administration of employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and retirement plans. Process benefit enrollments, changes, terminations, and qualifying life events in HRIS and carrier systems. Respond to employee inquiries regarding eligibility, coverage, claims, and benefit options. Coordinate new hire benefit orientations and open enrollment activities. Maintain accurate employee benefits records and confidential files. Review and reconcile benefit invoices and assist with discrepancy resolution. Support leave administration, including FMLA, disability, workers' compensation, and paid leave tracking. Coordinate with insurance carriers, brokers, and third-party administrators to resolve issues. Assist with benefits communications, educational materials, and employee notices. Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, ERISA, and FMLA. Generate reports and assist with audits related to benefits administration. Support HR projects and provide general administrative assistance as needed. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 1-3 years of experience in HR, benefits administration, or an administrative support role. Knowledge of employee benefits and HR practices preferred. Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., ADP, Paycom, UKG, Workday, or similar) preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Preferred Skills Knowledge of benefits laws and regulations. Experience processing leave of absence requests. Strong data entry and recordkeeping skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Compensation:
$30-34/hr Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications. #SONIBOS
