Newton, MA Job Details Full-time $80,000 - $95,000 a year 22 hours ago Qualifications Employment law Bachelor's degree HRIS Business Administration Data collection Business Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Compensation Analyst to join our Human Resources team. The Compensation Analyst will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining compensation programs that align with organizational goals and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations. This role involves analyzing compensation data, conducting market research, and collaborating with various departments to develop competitive salary structures and benefits packages. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of HRIS systems, payroll processes, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive data analysis to develop and maintain equitable and competitive compensation structures. Support payroll processing activities by ensuring accurate data collection and integration. Ensure compliance with employment and labor law requirements by staying current on legal updates related to compensation and benefits. Assist in monitoring regulatory changes, minimum wage, exempt status rulings, applicable state and federal employment regulations, compensation and HR policies. Collaborate with HR teams on employee orientation, employee evaluation processes, and training & development programs. Negotiate employment contracts and support employee relations initiatives to foster a positive workplace environment. Act as the Payroll backup Support the administration of HR policies related to employee leave (FMLA), workplace safety, and regulatory compliance. Maintain and prepare job descriptions for each position in the organization, ensuring and accurate reflection of the work being performed. Experience Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; advanced certifications in Compensation or HR preferred. 4+ years of Human Resources experience with at least 2 years focused on Compensation. Proven experience working with payroll systems. Strong knowledge of employment & labor law, benefits administration, and regulatory reporting requirements. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets using tools like Excel or other data analysis software. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
