This role requires someone who excels in managing payroll processes, HR data analysis, and compliance with labor regulations. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate payroll, maintaining HR systems, and contributing to compensation strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Collect, verify, and maintain accurate timekeeping records for employees to ensure precise payroll processing.
- Process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll cycles, calculating wages, overtime, bonuses, taxes, and deductions.
- Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees and management in a timely manner.
- Compile and analyze HR metrics and data from various sources, including HR systems, payroll outputs, and labor statistics.
- Conduct market research to benchmark compensation ranges and ensure competitive pay structures for different roles.
- Perform classification audits to verify proper exemption status for job positions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including wage and hour laws.
- Conduct annual pay equity audits and provide actionable recommendations based on findings.
- Maintain and update HR databases, ensuring data integrity and alignment with finance systems.
- Collaborate with Operations to analyze labor and machine hour variances, driving continuous improvement efforts. Requirements
- Proven experience in human resources and payroll administration.
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms, including ADP Workforce Now.
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations at federal, state, and local levels.
- Ability to analyze compensation data and conduct benchmarking studies.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for addressing employee inquiries.
- Familiarity with pay equity audits and compliance best practices.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
