Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Compensation & Benefits Specialist to support employee benefit programs and provide dependable day-to-day assistance across benefits, leave, and workers' compensation activities. This position is based in Plymouth, Minnesota, and plays an important role in maintaining accurate records, helping employees understand available programs, and supporting compliance-related reporting. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while handling sensitive information with discretion.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee recurring benefit administration tasks, including reviewing insurance invoices, reconciling benefit accounts, and confirming accurate cost allocations.
  • Process updates related to retirement savings plans and flexible spending elections while maintaining complete and accurate employee records.
  • Respond to employee questions regarding benefits, leave programs, and retirement-related matters, providing clear guidance and timely follow-up.
  • Track workplace injury reports, document claim activity, and support workers' compensation reporting and payment processes.
  • Assist with annual and ongoing compliance activities, including benefits-related reporting, payroll-impact calculations, and required government submissions.
  • Prepare audits, dashboards, census files, billing reports, and other documentation tied to benefits, retirement programs, workers' compensation, and general ledger review.
  • Coordinate with internal partners and external case representatives to support leave of absence and workers' compensation cases through resolution.
  • Support employee wellness and benefits initiatives by helping organize informational sessions, health events, screenings, and related program activities.
  • Contribute to additional HR operations such as onboarding support, orientation activities, background screening coordination, and compliance documentation as needed.
